The Cuban Centre for Neurosciences (CNEURO) has developed a drug, which – preclinical tests indicate- potentially halts -or significantly delays- the progress of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). This new drug, which has been granted a patent, now needs to undergo toxicology tests before trials on humans can start. CRICKET CIC has been authorised to identify and engage with potential partners, on behalf of CNEURO, to secure funding for the toxicology tests. The authorisation was signed by Professor Mitchell Valdés Sosa, the director of CNEURO (photo).
